International Research on Soft Functionalized Materials Starts – LeNet Kick-off Symposium was Held

The research group led by Professor Jian Ping Gong has launched a KAKENHI International Leading Research “Design of Low Entropy Polymer Network Materials for Unique Functions -LeNet-” from December 2022.

This research aims to study physicochemical properties of low entropy network spanning over gels and elastomers, and design novel polymer networks for unique functions that emerge from the low entropy of network through the international collaborations.

The kick-off symposium was held on June 9, 2023, on-site and online. LeNet members introduced what LeNet is and what makes it interesting mechanically and functionally from various facets in terms of synthesis, analysis, and function.
