Mr. Shogo Urakami, a PhD student in the Graduate School of Life Science, was awarded a special prize at the 38th Advanced Technology Award.
This award was established in 1986 with the aim of nurturing the originality and creativity of science and engineering students and increasing their motivation for research, and is sponsored by Sankei Shimbun (with support from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Nippon Broadcasting System, Inc.; special cooperation from Akaric Co., Ltd.).
The award was announced online (独創性を拓く 先端技術大賞) on June 18, 2025, and the winners were introduced on the Sankei Shimbun morning edition on June 19. The award ceremony will be held at Meiji Kinenkan (Meiji Kinenkan) on July 14.
