Development of a high-speed intracellular molecular crowding indicator (Lecturer Dr. Kitamura)

An international research group led by Akira Kitamura, a lecturer at Faculty of Advanced Life Science, Hokkaido University (AMED-PRIME researcher), and Vladana Vukojević, an associate professor at the Karolinska Institutet, Sweden, and their colleagues have demonstrated that the fluorescence lifetime measurement of a monomeric green fluorescent protein can detect increase of intracellular molecular crowding during hyperosmotic stress.
