Faculty of Advanced Life Science, Hokkaido University invites application for a tenure-track position (specially appointed associate professor or specially appointed assistant professor) in charge of PI (Principal Investigator) of the area. It is possible that the position gets promoted to permanent professor or permanent associate professor by achievement examination. He/she is expected to promote research and education in transdisciplinary life science area where scientists challenge life science innovation by utilizing methodology of advanced information science.

Graduate courses for Transdisciplinary Life Science Course in Division of Life Science or Division of Soft Matter (established in FY2018) including subjects conducted in English.
Undergraduate course: specialized course for department of Biological Sciences (Macromolecular Functions) in School of Science, common subjects for School of Science, and general education courses for undergraduate students.

One Tenure-Track Position (Specially appointed associate professor or specially appointed assistant professor)
Tenure position of specially appointed associate professor is professor and that of specially appointed assistant professor is associate professor. The contract period is 5 years. The interim assessment and tenure review will be held during the contract period (maximum 5 years) and the applicant will be examined whether to go on to the tenure position.
After arriving at the post, the applicant can place one specially appointed an assistant professor or a postdoc.
