Overview of Research and Education
Bio organisms are capable of efficient energy transformation, selective synthesis of biomolecules and interactive information processing. All these processes are based on effective molecular recognition at highly organized supramolecular assemblies. This research group is concerned with the construction of hierarchical molecular devices by the combination of nanosize molecular assemblies with micro size structures derived from dissipative processes. The following themes are in progress.
1) Development of novel drug delivery system using nanostructures, 2) Control of self-assembly of nanoparticles and creation of functions, 3) Development of supersensitive gel based plasmonic biosensors, 4) Development of high efficient nanoparticle vaccine
