研究・教育内容

研究内容:細胞集団の協調的な運動、3次元形態形成、高次組織構築といった細胞から組織レベルの生命現象に対して、ソフトマター系の培養基質(コラーゲンゲル、マトリゲルなど)を用いることで生体内に近い環境を培養系で再現し、分子細胞生物学およびメカノバイオロジーの両面からメカニズムの解明を目指す。さらに、細胞外基質の硬さを定量的に変化させることで、基質の硬化が誘引するがん細胞の悪性化のメカニズムに迫る。得られた結果から再生医療およびがんの治療法開発への応用展開を目指す。
